What is Blu-ray disc?

Blu-ray Disc is a high capacity optical storage medium. This format was mainly found by Sony, Philips and Matsushita Electric and other electronic giants. A single-layer BD disc provides up to 25 GB of storage capacity and the double-layer BD disc offers up to 50 GB. Blu-ray Disc has high storage capacity because it uses lasers with a wavelength of 405nm focusing the laser spot with greater precision. This allows data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space to fit more data on the disc. The features enable Blu-ray Discs to hold 25GB/50GB.

What is HD DVD?

HD-DVD (high-density DVD) is a high capacity optical storage medium. This format was mainly found by Toshiba, NEC, Sanyo and Memory-Tech and other electronic giants. A single-layer HD-DVD provides up to 15 GB of storage capacity and the double-layer disc offers up to 30 GB. HD-DVD is supported by cutting-edge blue laser technology, new high level data processing techniques, and highly-efficient video compression technology. It has high storage capacity because it uses lasers with shorter wavelength of 405nm in the visible blue ray range and have closer spacing track of 0.4μm.

However, Toshiba pull out this HD DVD format in Jan 2008. As a result only BD format become the winner of the format battle.

What is Stamper?

As a mass production technique for optical disc, we are using a pressing plate, called "Stamper".
Stamper has two fundamental functions:

  • The first, it must have a proper physical structure on information area which designed under the specification book of each media. We are utilizing cutting-edge technology for it, like photo-lithography & electroforming.
  • The second, it must have a sophisticate mechanical property as a part of mold.
To make Best quality of disc, we have accumulated technical Know-how of Stamper.

What is DVD+R media?
DVD+Recordable, a recordable DVD format that can only record data once and then the data becomes permanent on the disc. DVD+R and DVD+RW formats are supported by Philips, Sony, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Ricoh, Yamaha and others.
